- Naomi and her family sought refuge outside of God’s provision, and Naomi was left empty and barren
- Naomi sought to return alone to Judah, but Ruth refused to leave her alone
- Naomi’s pain and sorrow blinded her to the provision God had given her
- In the midst of Naomi’s affliction and hopeless despair, God, by His grace, is still working to bring about her restoration
- Ruth demonstrated sacrificial love to Naomi even in the face of her own sorrow and vulnerability
- God desires that we demonstrate the love he has given to us to those he has placed in our lives
- Am I living in such a way that those around me are experiencing the love of God?
